House of Rest teams up with Bread of to help put food on tables in Stanislaus County

Stanislaus County has been hit hard by COVID and inflation 13 percent of people are living in poverty and Stanislaus County. Grocery prices have gone up 8% since 2021 rents have gone up 5% and even utility costs have gone up.

A simple trip to the grocery store these days will cost you at least $40. House of rest church in Modesto CA has teamed up with Bread of Life from San Joaquin county to help provide food monthly to 50 families. The food they provide is plentiful. They offer eggs, Gatorade, meat, snacks and chips for children, and lots of other items.

Most food pantries around the Stanislaus County area will provide canned foods which a lot of people don't care for, Bread Of Life gives you food that you would buy at the grocery store.

House of rest is a nondenominational church run by pastor David Rocha and pastor Sharon Rocha. Every third Saturday of the month you can go to the church and get a box of food all you need to do is register with them and you get your box. They also provide free clothing and hygiene items.

The church is tiny and the pastors are very involved with everything that they do for the community As far as helping set up the food drive and helping take the food to people's vehicles. If you're in Stanislaus County and looking for some help with groceries this is the church to go to and get some help and get prayed for.
